Bombshell Events: LEHS Senior Prom 2011

It was the Lynn English High School Senior Prom last week (6/7). Lucely, a senior, asked me to create a look for her. I was incredibly honored to be included in her special day. I had originally done a trial for Lucely and the look we had decided on was the Nicki Minaj "Bedrock" look. Then last minute, she switches everything up! Lol! But everything worked out just fine!

"Bedrock II"

Lucely's dress was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! She looked absolutely stunning! I absolutely loved it! And her makeup matched up perfectly.

Thanks Lucely, for 'putting me on'! Lol! I hope you had a great time! (I plan on doing this look on myself, at which point I will include a listing of the products used)

Bombshell Reviews: Sephora Jumbo Liner 12hr Wear Waterproof

Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof
Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof

(from Sephora.com)
What it is:
A collection of jumbo eye pencils that can be used as eyeliners or blended out as eye shadows.

What it does:
These jumbo pencils create a range of effects, from bold lines and blended effects to thin, defined lines. Resistant to water, heat, and humidity, their creamy, high-pigment formulas apply smoothly. From deep blacks to rich and shimmery shades, each is formulated with exclusive waxes and pigments to assure maximum color intensity that stays put for 12-hours.

*********

Performance:
These liners are awesome!  I really like the metallic and shimmering effect some of the liners have. As advertised, they are highly pigment. However, it depends on the colors you choose. The other colors didn't appeal much to me.The Gold, Green, Turquoise pencils are really the standouts of the line, b/c the colors are extremely rich, vibrant and super pigmented. The consistency of the liner is smooth, so it makes for quick and easy application.

Cons:
The only con about this product, is if you are going to use them as bases for shadows, make sure you work fast b/c they dry ridiculously fast! Which can be aggravating, b/c your shadow won't have anything to adhere to (found out the hard way) which causes flakiness and some splotched areas. Boooooo!

Recommendation:
Work fast to truly enjoy this! To be completely honest, I think these work best alone. When you start to attempt to apply shadow, that's when you can run into some issues.

Final Thoughts:
You can't go wrong with these liners. The colors are rich and beautiful and they are waterproof. Perfect for the summer heat. You can wear this to the beach, poolside etc...once applied, they do not budge or crease. When used correctly, it's a wonderful product! This is something I would buy over and over again.

L to R: Gold, Turquoise, Green, Marine

Pardon the many outfit changes! I couldn't decide what to wear! Lol! You know how those days can be. I really liked the turn-out of this smokey look. I think it's a refreshing twist on the 'black smokey eye'. Great for a date night! Or in my case, dinner with the ladies!
