The Pink Bombshell: PB Events: Lynn English Junior Prom 2011

Last night, was a big night for the the juniors at Lynn English High School: they celebrated their Junior Prom! My sister and some of her closest friends, enlisted me to help them with hair and makeup in preparation for this memorable night. It was lots of fun and a blessing, watching the girls transform from ordinary high school students to beautiful and fierce bombshells! It seemed just like yesterday, when my mother brought my baby sister home from the hospital. Now she's all grown up (almost). *tears* Lol!

Natural Goddess Look

Jennifer never wears any makeup. So my goal was how to make her look glamorous without having to overwhelm her with tons of makeup. So I went with a real simple eye makeup look using browns and golds to make her eyes pop! . I kept everything else on her face fairly natural (almost). Like for example I used bronzer on her instead of blush and gave her a neutral lip. This look is extremely versatile, it can be worn during the day, on date or for a night out. Classic.

Golden Orchid Look (inspired by Makeupgeek.com Look of the Week: Pink Orchid tutorial)

I had a really hard time figuring out what I should do for Maggie. She had this really beautiful pink dress with browns and a pop of yellow in it. So I wasn't sure how I was going to incorporate those colors. While browsing Makeupgeek.com I found this tutorial that ended up being perfect for Maggie. I practiced on her a few days prior to the event to make sure that she liked the color combination. Luckly, she did! This look is daring! If you don't like color I wouldn't recommend it. But if you want something fresh and new, then definitely give this look a try. It's absolutely stunning. In the pictures you can't see it, but I added some glitter in the inner corners of her eyes, so it really help make her brown eyes pop!

Pin-Up Tango Look

Anyone who knows Neesa, knows that she is a DIVA! She will spend hours on hair and makeup until she is right--even if she is just going to the grocery store! Lol! So this look was right up her alley. She wanted something BOLD and glamorous on her lids to compliment her simple but beautiful dress. She wanted to be transformed into a modern day Black Barbie! Her words, not mine! So I came up with shimmery lids and Diva-worthy lashes. Again, the pictures don't do this look any justice! She looked absolutely stunning. (And I am not saying that because she's my sister).
