Bombshell Nails: Yellow Nails!

So I had enough of the acrylic! Now please understand that I have a love/hate relationship with acrylic. One minute I want them; the next they aggrevate me and I want them OFF! This was the case here, so I chewed them off one by one. (I don't recommend doing that b/c it further damages your nails) But regardless, what's done is done, right?! So now I am doing the shellac/gel manicures temporarily. These polishes are advertised to give your manicures a life line of 14 days! The only issues I have with these is that the color selection is limited-hence why I am doing this on a temp basis and why I always end up with tips again!

This is perfect for Summer! It's trendy, fresh and citris-y! Lol! That was last part was a force. Lol! I guess the real key to this look, is finding the right shade of yellow that compliments your skin tone. When rocked corretly, it is the perfect Summer accent to your wardrobe. I really love effect the polka dots, here!  It adds a layer of playfulness to the overall look without making it look kiddish!  What do you guys think? Would your try yellow nails?!!

MUL: "Nude's on 40"

I'm am absolutely baffled by how fast the Summer came and went. We are at the home-stretch! Pretty soon, it's going to be back to the parkas, wool sweaters, high boots and SNOW!!!! (at least for us living out in the East Coast). So while there's still some sun and nice weather, I'm rocking it out! no holds bar......Shall we continue with today's look?

I love the way this orange looked against my skin tone! I toned it down a bit with MAC's Cushy liner, b/c I felt the orange, alone, was just way too bright for where I was going and also b/c I don't currently own an orange lip liner. I am searching for one, so if you guys know a good one, holla at yo' girl! I would defintely like to rock this the way it was meant to be rocked!

Any who, the day came and passed and the world didn't end, so i guess being a year older isn't really that bad. I don't know I am a HOT MESS sometimes! (sort of LOL!) Since my bday fell in the middle of the week, we went out for some din-din at Border Cafe! and I rocked this look!

MUL: "Up The Bronze"

Happy Friday!!!
The weekend is here! Any special plans? I usually play my weekends by ear. Whatever sounds good and the most cost effective is what I'm usually down for. Lol! I've been wanting a rock a bold lip for quite sometime. So in the middle of a heat wave, why not Up the Amp! As you know the rule of thumb when rocking a bold lip is neutral eyes. I paired mine with bronze eyeshadow. Me gusta mucho!

MUL: "Spellbound" (Soft Smokey Eye)

So the other day, I decided to turn my office/computer room into my makeup area/closet. I was already using half of the room for my makeup and the other half as our office. But our desktop is fried and it's just been sitting there collecting dust. So I thought of this ingenious plan: Why not turn this room into a master closet/makeup room?!!! So now I have this master closet to fill with tons and tons of junk! As if I need anymore!

I went crazy for this palette. Victoria Secret holiday edition palettes are always gorg! and this one was no exception. I only used this palette once and that was when I was going out for NYE  and then it got lost in the pile. The NYE look I did, using this palette was really intense. This time around, I went for a soft smokey eye that is perfect for work, school or place of choice.

P.S: I am getting so much better at styling my hair! I've learned alot over the past few months. Can't wait to share with you guys!

MUL: "Beauty Marked" (Beyonce Inspired)

Happy Friday!!!
This look was inspired by the ever so beautiful Beyonce! I first saw this look featured in a Life&Style Weekly magazine. In the magazine, Beyonce was sporting a gold-ish and purple-ish/burgundy eye with bronze-y, luminous skin and a light pink lip. I absolutely loved it. I've seen a similar look featured on Keri Hilson. So this is a look I've wanted to do for quite sometime. Of course, when I tried to find the up close version on Google, I wasn't so successful. (Of course! why would anything work in my favor? Lol.) Any who, this is my take of her look that was featured in the magazine.

Disclaimer: I am not in anyway, shape or form claiming to look like Beyonce. She is only being utilized as an inspirational guide from which this look was created.

This look was alot of fun to create! I worked really hard to get just the right hue of rose-gold, but it's just my luck my camera fails to pick up the color payoff. Of course!!!? Why would it?  Lol! Still love it, though!
